The nano™ Brompton is an electric bike kit specially designed for the Brompton folding bicycle. Using our small, quiet and powerful nano™ hub motor the nano™ Brompton gives the rider the extra assistance that takes the effort out of hills and headwinds, enabling you to arrive at your destination without the sweat!

All the parts needed to convert your Brompton to electric power are included:

nano Motor™ : 80mm wide, 260rpm, built into a replacement official Brompton rim, using high grade stainless steel spokes. We only use original Brompton rims as they have a deep central well which allows easier removal and replacement of tyres.

10AHr Lithium Polymer battery. Estimated range - up to 60 miles on a single charge. Supplied in an aluminium and plastic moulded e-bike case, which fits neatly in the bottom of all the brompton front luggage. The battery life is between 600-1000 cycles, which should be enough to last 3-4 years of normal use before a significant reduction in capacity is noticed.

Actual range achieved will depend on a number of factors, including how much assistance is used, how hilly the terrain, and how much weight is being moved. Expected range should be between 15 miles and 60 miles.

Battery charger. Full charge of the battery will take approximately 4 hours. Charging takes proportionally less time if you have used less of the battery capacity before charging.

Nano controller and wiring loom. Including controller box with clips for mounting on the Brompton handlebars, modified Brompton front luggage block with copper battery connectors, a twist throttle with contoured handlebar grips, pair of replacement brake levers incorporating safety cut out - to cut the power to the motor when you engage the brakes.

Front luggage conversion kit. The parts required to adapt a Brompton front bag to carry the battery. Once the bag is converted, the battery fits in the bag and the action of placing the bag onto the bike also connects the battery so you are ready to go. If you don't have a bag, you will need to get one and we can also supply these - just look in the accessories section of our store.

Pair of replacement brake cables. The standard Brompton brake cables are incompatible with our safety levers, we aim to supply everything you need to convert your Brompton so we include a set of replacements.

Front wheel cable stay A very small piece - but it fits over the cable from the motor and holds it in place, and protects the bike frame from damage when folding.

Fork modification tool. The nano motor™ is slightly wider than the standard Brompton fork and requires widening by about 8mm. We include a tool to allow easy widening of the front fork. This tool can widen both the standard front forks and also the Titanium forks found on the ultra lightweight Brompton. The fork cutouts also need to be widened and lengthened by about 2mm and instructions for doing this using an angle grinder (or more slowiy using a metal file) are included. The mudguard stay loop has to be widened slightly and again full instructions are included.

If you prefer not to have the hassle of widening the forks, you can specify the "Easy Fit Option with modified forks" option above and your kit will include a new set of official Brompton forks, altered to fit the nano wheel.

Warranty. The nano™ Brompton conversion kit is engineered with good quality components, and we get very few problems, but for peace of mind, every kit comes with a comprehensive 12 month return to base warranty. If anything fails to work within 12 months of purchase, simply return it to us (at your cost) and we will either fix or replace if and ship it back to you. If we originally fitted the conversion - then the warranty also includes free of charge fitting any replacement parts needed.
