6AHr Lithium Polymer battery. Estimated range - up to 40 miles on a single charge. Supplied in an plastic moulded case, which fits neatlyonto the seat post of the bike, battery is decured in place with a key-lock and is removable for charging and storage. The battery life is between 1500-2000 cycles, which should be enough to last 3-4 years of normal use before a significant reduction in capacity is noticed.

Actual range achieved will depend on a number of factors, including how much assistance is used, how hilly the terrain, and how much weight is being moved. Expected range should be between 10 miles and 40 miles.
